Setting up Notifications

One of the most-used features of any automation system is the ability for it to notify users of certain event or conditions.  Fibaro can do this through e-mail, or push notifications to their app.  All three are easy to set up, and we'll detail the steps to take to do it.


  1. Add users to the system
    1. Click Configuration on the top menu ribbon
    2. Click Access Control on the left menu
    3. Click Add User
    4. Fill in the user details
    5. Click the blue Save button in the menu on the right
    6. Repeat 3-5 for each user

  2. Install the Fibaro app on each of your desired mobile devices and connect to your Home Center
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Access Control page
    1. You will see a list of mobile devices that have connected
    2. Make sure each one that you would like to be able to receive push notifications is checkedFibaro Mobile Devices

  4. Set up the content of your notification
    1. Click Panels on the top menu Ribbon
    2. Scroll down to Notifications Panel and click Enter
    3. Fill in the text for your notification - you can make them the same for all three types, or different

    4. Click the blue Save button
  5. Create a scene that will send the notification
    1. Click Scenes on the top menu ribbon
    2. Click Add Scene on the left menu
    3. Click Add in the area labeled Add scene using graphic blocks

    4. Choose a triggering device and a notification

    5. Scroll to the top and go back to the General tab
    6. Name your scene and assign it to a room
    7. Click the blue Save button in the right menu
